Hi I am Michaeli. Cellist, Yoga Teacher, Bass player, Music Educator.

MUSIC

I am a cellist and have worked as a cello tutor, session musician, ensemble player and director of various string ensembles.

I’ve had the privilege to be part of award-winning albums, including the Grammy-winning song What a Beautiful Name.

My latest music releases can be found on Spotify, I am having a wonderful time creating music with my amazing husband Paul Witney.

I am a music educator. I have worked as a tertiary music lecturer, a secondary school director of music and an ensemble leader. I have run my own private tutoring studio for many years.

I guide experienced musicians in their craft to find higher levels of expression and technical mastery. I also love to work with beginners and musicians of all levels to help them grow their love of music as they develop their skills.

YOGA

I am a passionate, qualified and experienced yoga teacher.

I prioritise alignment and function in my teaching and my own practice, drawing inspiration from the Iyengar style of yoga.  I help people learn more about their bodies and minds through yoga-based practices tailored to their individual needs.

Over the past 13 years I have worked with teens, adults and elders. I craft my sessions to inspire, strengthen, relax and ground. I encourage people to be kind to themselves as they explore what is happening in their bodies and minds. I believe that responding with gentleness, self-compassion and patience is a wise approach in not just yoga, but in life.
